I've updated the original post with a paste of the CCC install log now. What I did was just go into control panel, remove my current PhysX driver, and then launch the game. Mafia II will not run on Windows 8. I've seen people talking about updating drivers - Already did that, still no fix.

Silly I knowbut thats just how it is. This driver has been produced by NVidia to help process the various important physics-related aspects of the games that you want to play.
